THE BARBERING PROGRAM

The hot modern-day barbershop trend is exploding. More and more people are wanting a comfortable space where they can get the full barber experience of grooming, a classic taper or fade style haircut and a relaxing shave performed by a trained, professional barber. Our program gives you hands-on training in everything from precision hair-cutting, color and texture to skincare, shaving and grooming, plus the personal and business skills you need to build a career. 

HOW TO BECOME A BARBER

With the support of The Culture Barber College education, you will be prepared to take your state exam and get started in your barbering career. Thanks to your efforts and the guidance of our instructors, you’ll have the practical knowledge to pursue your barbering career—and you can feel confident taking The Culture Barber College name with you as you launch your barbering career.

We want you to be prepared. That’s why our Future Professionals receive their own professional kit packed with all the essentials—mannequin heads, shears, clippers and trimmers, a straight-edge razor, combs, clips, capes, and much more—so you’re ready to succeed in school and launch your dream career.

BARBERING LICENSE

Our barbering course of study is tailored to prepare students for the Indiana State Board Barbering Exam. Preparing future barbers to pass the state board examination is one of our top priorities; we can provide you with the best information and guidance. The knowledge and skills acquired in our 1500-hour course will prepare you for work as a licensed barber in a full-service barbershop or chain barbershop, shop manager, or shop owner.

BARBER INSTRUCTOR LICENSE

Our barber instructor training course teaches hands-on instruction for individual training, lesson planning, physical demonstration, testing and preparing student assignments. We emphasize professionalism and the preparation of each individual for the Indiana State Board Barber Instructor Exam. The amount of hours required for this course depends on the length of time the barber has been licensed and practicing.
